Federation Antiques is Cincinnati’s oldest retail antiques establishment. We offer a full line of period furniture (made before 1840, with rare exceptions), concentrating largely on English and American examples, and a comprehensive selection of complementary accessories, ceramics and fine art. We are particularly strong in brass, and have a fine selection of decorative and useful boxes, including tea caddies, lap desks, snuffs and other examples.
Our ceramics selection includes fine Chinese Export wares of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Staffordshire figures and other pieces from early English makers such as Worcester and Derby, and a large group of highly decorative Imari wares. We have one of the Midwest’s largest collections of period prints, both framed and unframed, and a broad selection of one-of-a-kind lamp bases, wired from antique bases. All our inventory is fully guaranteed as represented.
For our customers, we are always delighted to provide conservation framing, re-caning of chair seats and backs, repair and restoration services, and, recognizing that no antiques shop can fulfill every desire, we offer a no-obligation search service, using our expertise and contacts in our field to assist you in finding that special piece that has eluded you. And we also offer in-home maintenance (minor repairs and waxing) of your fine pieces, a service which many of our customers use on a yearly basis.
We offer comprehensive interior design services, and our interior design sample library is one of the largest in the area. Our projects have been recognized by publication in a wide variety of magazines, including Architectural Digest, and range from accurate restoration of historic properties, to urban lofts. Whatever the project, our goal in interior design is to provide our clients with homes that reflect their personalities, that are comfortable and welcoming, and that will delight them for years to come
